HGH Indians test

Hubert George Huntzinger’s Indian Studies (glass plates)

HGH took photographs thorough out the Southwestern United States —  Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico. After his marriage to Martha Louise they traveled in a wagon which contained his “studio” and equipment along with living facilities.  Several photos exist with this wagon included.  It is reported that in his travels they took pictures of native American Indians.

Nineteen (19) glass slides existed in Irene Barton’s estate (presently probably stored in Donald Bonewitz’s garage); Irene’s granddaughter, Taia Bonewitz, had prints taken from them.

Seven (7) of these images have a backdrop that appears in other HGH photos or obviously fit into the same group.

Ivon and Irene visited the area HGH traveled, did some research, and consulted  with tribal leaders .  Twelve (12) photos appear to be study examples that someone else supplied because  those images do not match the costumes of the tribes in the area.  This group has a similar backdrop and most have handwritten numbers on them.  [talk with Randal and other who know what Ivon’s & Irene’s research might have been] [check journals for general locations — Luez, Alma, others]
