Memorial Day 2019
Family members past and present in the military
This compilation was pieced together by Bob Huntzinger, Laura Peterson, and assistance from many relatives.
“There are so many unknown, untold, unremembered stories. It boggles the mind that men and women commitment themselves to defending their country, experiencing fear and achievement beyond imagination. And, we don’t know the story.” ” Right!! It’s amazing to me. My grandfather, my mom’s dad, refused to talk about many of his experiences in war up to his dying day.” — ” Mom’s laughing brother came home from the WWII North Africa and Italian campaigns a haunted man.”” So it has been through history, I’m sure. We can not relieve the pain or remove the dark memories, but we should know and we can honor.”
(If we have inadvertently overlooked someone, please let us know so we can update the website.)
